I have been teaching for nearly as long as I've been playing. In 2017, I graduated Mansfield University with a Bachelor's degree in Music Business while focusing on Percussion. Though I began playing drum set at the age of 5, I've grown to perform and teach in all areas of percussion. Once the student has grasped a good level of fundamentals, I begin to introduce level appropriate solo repertoire pieces not only of my choosing, but of the students choosing as well. For young children, I usually choose teaching books that are more fun and give them a basic start with understanding musical symbols by performing tasks in their books. Once students begin to understand how to read and play, I start to introduce the next level of material for them.
