I was on the road for twenty five years in various musical theatre productions, nightclubs, cruise ships, corporate and industrial shows, dinner theatre, stock, and regional theatre. Lately I've been teaching my little brother piano playing on the side when I go over to my parent's house, he is really enthusiastic about playing for me and asks many questions while aptly listening to me. I also help out a couple of my friends that either used to play the piano or are just interested in the instrument and need a primer to get them going. With each lesson my goal is to the student learn a scale per lesson and a rudiment per lesson, we will also dig into the different styles and genres surrounding that specific instrument, and encourage the student to try new techniques. I am a multi-instrumentalist, having played piano (classical and pop/rock/blues and more) for 25 years, guitar and vocals for 17 years, and various other instruments including mandolin, banjo, blues and folk harmonica, bass guitar, 12-string guitar for over 10 years. I studied music and theory since age 5 all the way through the university level. I have taught professionally starting in 2014. I also compose songs, and love playing out.
