I have played the violin since I was 8 years old in school orchestras and small ensembles. I have also learned Irish traditional music in Ireland, from the Irish in music sessions and in more formal school settings. I spent 9 months there obtaining a Masters in Ethnomusicology. I'm a passionate musician and instructor that recently graduated from Cedarville University with a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance. I have been playing for 8 years and have put on three collegiate recitals. I have served in the Florida Youth Symphony's Flute Choir, and as the principal in the University Orchestra, Symphonic Band, and Flute Choir at Cedarville. For beginning students who are younger I typically start with Faber and Faber's Piano Adventures. If a student is older I will put them in the accelerated method or the adult method. I will sometimes supplement with Alfred's Premier series or Music Tree. Once a student has progressed to a certian level, I will introduce other piano literature to supplement the method book learning.
