For students of all skill levels, I begin by communicating with them about their goals and continue on with a gentle warm up. I then guide the student through various exercises that are designed to improve and strengthen specific areas of the voice, specific registers, problem areas, and so on. One of my main methods when it comes to learning how to play a song is Sound Studio, which is a sound editing computer application. It has helpful tools such as changing pitch and tempo (independently of one another), selecting, cutting, looping, changing volume, adding effects, and may other functions.
