I believe teaching in music in an art that requires as much dedication and preparation as performing. When I teach, I don’t force a certain technique or method on students, but rather I teach what is best suited for them. On top of that, I always motivate my students with adequate goals. Most importantly, I will make sure my students enjoy music in the process of learning. I have a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Indiana University. While in Amherst, I performed leading roles such as Nemorino from L’elsir d’amore and Alfred from Die Fledermaus. In summer, I attended prestigious programs such as SongFest in Los Angeles and Orfeo Music Festival in Italy. In the past spring, I have performed as Priest in Akhnaten in Indiana University Opera Theatre. Currently, I am an Associate Chorister at Houston Grand Opera.
I'm a teacher at heart and I always have something new and exciting to give to others in the form of information or skill. I've been teaching professionally for seven years and I love every single minute of it. I have worked in two Texas Independent School Districts and I have worked with a wide variety of age groups and subjects, not just music. I occasionally play live shows on the weekends with my band and I can play four other instruments besides the guitar.
I am a talented music educator who empowers students with the tools they need to become ambassadors of knowledge and valuable members of society. I am passionate about music and I am commited to maintaining up-to-date knowledge in the field. I am a musician who is engaging and enthusiastic in hands-on learning with students. I have had a lot of joyful moments musically whether it was from the marching band or the concert band in school, and I would like to share the things that will give others the same joy.
I started learning and playing piano from an early age, and have been teaching music for over thirty years. More than anything I strive to introduce my students to the beauty of music, and approach them with the same amount of passion and enthusiasm. I try to make the learning experience as fun as possible, while ensuring progress. I am very positive and my biggest priority is to make my students happy and make sure they enjoy every lesson. I am motivated and give my all when it comes to my students, and am even more inspired to get involved if someone among them wants to approach music professionally. I believe that age is irrelevant when it comes to music, all that matters is desire.
I'm a musical entertainer of all genres, who loves being on stage and getting aspiring talent up there too. I've worked for several major cruise lines for five years, and have toured the globe as a music director, soloist, and member of the show band. Had I not been given the oppourtunity to learn when I was younger, I would've missed out on the fulfulling my passion!

Studying music facilitates learning in other subjects such as math and English, helps promote language development, and can even possibly result in increased IQ! Musical activity can also involve a high level of hand-eye coordination and can improve a student's spatial temporal skills while giving them a skill they can have for the rest of their lives. It's important to remember that the biggest benefit of studying music is the development of a lifetime love of diverse types of music.

"My daughter is 10 years old and has been taking piano lessons with Mr. Dale J. for almost 4 years now. She is progressing nicely. His kind and gentle way make for a very positive learning experience. Mr. Dale J. is encouraging without being harsh or belittling. He is patient and the ideal instructor for my daughter."

Travis is the greatest. He knows his music and how to teach it. He gives you time to learn, but will not allow student time to get lazy. I know he teaches all age groups. Young pre-teens to us old folks 78 years young. I have been taking lessons from him since early December 2014. He is a true professional. You can't go wrong with him.

We've only had a few lessons with Elisa, but so far we really like her. She has a lot of great suggestions for solo pieces as well as orchestral music that involves all 3 of my boys, while also including some Christian music that we can play at church. She is very patient in explaining the lessons and encouraging!

Mrs. Regnarene is an awesome teacher!!! She found musical aids that appealed to my 5 year old daughter and used them to help teach her piano. She has a lot of patience and I could tell she puts in the work before class to have a lesson ready for my daughter. She is always punctual, friendly and respectful. I would recommend her to any parents who want to start their kids off with a good foundation in piano. Jermain T. Riverview, FL

Caitlyn is friendly, helpful and still holds my high-school aged daughter accountable for practicing. She also makes sure the music technique is mastered correctly during the lessons - they work hard and still have a good time together. I can highly recommend her as a flute teacher. My daughter is very happy & grateful to have found Caitlyn as a teacher.

I started taking voice lessons from Ali when I was 19 and a sophomore in college. Though I was hesitant to be starting "late", I felt very comfortable with Ali and her teaching style. We identified several key issues that really made a difference and improved my voice technique. It was fun to sing popular, beautiful songs in our recital! If only I lived in Los Angeles, I would still be a student. Highly recommended!

"Richard is a very talented and a patient teacher. He teaches my 6 year old daughter in the comfort of our home and he is very regular. He follows a learning book and mixes his lessons to bring difficulty and technicality while keeping it interesting for my daughter. My daughter was difficult to work with at the beginning but he was able motivate her in every possible way. As a parent I make an effort to learn with my daughter so that when my daughter practices I am able to guide and correct her and Richard is very generous to take the time to give provide me concepts. I am extremely happy with Richard and his ability to teach children."

Henry has been a great piano teacher since I started lessons about a month ago, and he is helping me realize a lifelong dream. He is patient, plays beautifully, is easy to learn from and a very nice person. I took lessons as a child for a year or so, but never followed up over the years. I always said that I would once I retired and found the right instructor. That time is now. Thank you Henry and Musika!

Our kids love Mr. Lynwood. Mr. Lynwood is very patient and skillful teaching our kids both music theory and guitar/piano. He keeps them engaged and motivated during their lessons and we are seeing -or rather hearing- fast improvement in the kids' dexterity playing their respective instruments. We would recommend this good natured instructor to anybody.
