I attended college at Houston Baptist University where I received a full scholarship to study music. Once I graduated I was immediately hired to do a national tour which was followed by 5 others. My passion for teaching and impacting my God given talent began just when I started making progress as a professional musician. I am used to teaching students in government established schools where I teach them basic palm and stick druming. After I had gain a lot of recognition as a drum instructor, I started doing workshop and music seminars for beginners, intermediate and professionals teaching them basic techniques to african percussion and contemporary band percussion play with the introduction of mutitasking or what I call seperations on a big stage. It all started when I took my first drum lesson in the 4th grade. From then on, I wanted to play whenever I could. I played in all my school bands from middle school to high school. Graduated Southern University, home of the world famous "Human Jukebox" which I was a member of for 3 years, as well as playing for my church since I was 13. Along the way I have had the honor of meeting and learning from respected musicians such as Lawrence Jackson (former director of SU Bands), Herman Jackson (Brother of Randy Jackson), Jerry Lee Lane (Marching percussion pioneer) and countless others.
