My teaching experience goes all the way back to 2003, when I was a percussion section leader in junior high school. I was a section leader throughout high school and on into my undergraduate degree in percussion. This involved both teaching groups of my peers but also giving individual attention to anyone who needed the extra help. She completed with a Masters of Music as well as an Artist Diploma at University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music under Dr. Catharine Lees and Mr. Masao Kawasaki. I usually start with the Rubank Elementary Method book. There are four books in the series and they are very comprehensive. Once the student progresses to the Intermediate book, I also add Selected Duets Volume 1. I have found that playing duets strengthens listening skills and intonation, plus they are fun! For my string students, I typically use Hal Leonard's Essential Elements at first, and then I introduce the Suzuki Method for solo repertoire once they have progressed on their instruments. For my vocal students, I find what type of music my student is interested in, and I then recommend a voice book that we will pick repertoire from. For my piano students, I use the Piano Adventures series, which includes the fundamentals as well as solo repertoire. Read More

My teaching experience started while I was attending high school. I began working at local band camps over the summer during my senior year and I found the experience to be cathartic and extremely rewarding. At the beginning of my college career, I started working with several band programs as an instructor and private lesson teacher. I have been actively teaching students of all ages since 2007. Since 2015, I have proudly served as an instructor during the summer for the percussion ensemble at the world class, Colts Drum and Bugle Corps. Read More

As an active performer, she made her solo debut at the age of 14 performing the Haydn C Major Cello Concerto with the Central Conservatory of Music Chamber Orchestra in China and has been a featured soloist on numerous occasions since. In 2017, she performed Schumann Cello concerto as a soloist with Ensemble 207 at Judson Manor, Mixon Hall and Council Gardens in Cleveland.
