Instruments: Trumpet
From a young age, I've been interested in music, and I would often tap around on my grandma's piano, but alas I went toward brass instruments. I started playing trumpet in middle school around the age of 11, and I've been playing trumpet for about 11 years. I played for 3 years in my high school's marching band, winning state championship's one year, and 3rd the other years. I've played in jazz bands, concert bands, and I've participated in MPA. Instruments: Violin Music
Hi there! I can't remember a time when I wasn't involved with music in some way. I started in the Suzuki program in 2001, so playing the violin is like a second language for me. I have enjoyed both being a student and a teacher and I am ready to create a diverse studio of all levels, ages, and backgrounds. Being inclusive is something I pride myself on and it is the way in which today's music world is headed. Read More

I will start off my lessons with the Bastien Piano Basics course. The student will use a lesson book, a performance book, a technique book and a theory book. Once the student has reached a certain level, they will begin lessons in Piano Literature and John Thompson's Modern Course for the Piano. My adult students will use the Bastien Piano for Adults series, and they may also want to use John Thompson's Modern Course for the Piano. Read More
Instruments: Violin Viola
I believe it is important that beginning students who do not know how to read music yet stay out of the books at first. Reading music and trying to hold the instrument correctly, having bow control, and paying attention to tone can be overwhelming. The first few lessons will be book free. Once I feel the student is able to read notes, we will begin in Hal Leonard's Essential Elements which also comes with a CD for easy at home practicing. Read More
Instruments: Guitar Electric Guitar Acoustic Guitar
I love guitar and can talk music for hours on end. My development as a guitarist took me from being an arrogant teen who "knows everything" to an undergraduate music major finding shortcomings in my playing every day, to finding new things to incorporate in my playing beyond the fret-board. I have played in multiple bands in a rock, jazz combo, big band, and classical style I have taught and mentored other musicians for years. Read More
Instruments: Bass Guitar
I have over 10 years of live music performance with a variety of groups and ensembles, I have performed all over the world and I want to pass on my knowledge and experience to perspective students. I love music and truly believe everybody should have the opportunity to learn an instrument as the rewards are simply amazing. In my career to date I have performed on Cruise Lines, in Theatres and Arena's and in clubs playing all kinds of music. Read More
