I like to give the student the correct tools and exercises to make them a great musician and drummer in any style of music they would like to play. Jonathans early studies through high school were with New York, classical and jazz pianist, Kathleen Landis. Jonathan has performed at Steinway Hall, the Juilliard School and the Saint Petersburg Conservatory. He recorded his first CD at age 14 which included Mozart, Gershwin, Chopin, Grieg and Khachaturian. Jonathan particularly loves the works of Alexander Scriabin and has performed for the Scriabin Society of America. He enjoys teaching piano to all ages and playing for private events. Read More

I believe a strong working knowledge of rudiments is fundamental to establishing good hand technique. I create arrangements combining rudiments to promote memorization and musicality. In addition, I teach four way coordination exercises, to develop bass drum consistency and promote general coordination skills. Students will also be introduced to different types of drum fills that progress into more challenging combinations using both hands and feet.
