I am a musician with 20+ years of performance and recording experience and 5+ years of teaching experience. I currently teach at two Bay Area music schools and am also offering online lessons. I have have toured through the US, UK EU, Mexico, and Europe, and released multiple albums on various record labels with international distribution. In my lessons, I advocate for a strong emphasis on tone and technique. Getting these aspects of trumpet playing down are extremely important as the trumpet is a very physically demanding instrument. I have many different levels of method books to work from, but one of the biggest and most comprehensive is the Arban's book. It has exercises ranging from the most basic tone production, to very advanced tonguing and lip slur exercises and is great for students of all levels. Read More

The first thing I do in a lesson is evaluate what the student knows and doesnt know about voice or piano. For voice, the first lesson will always focus on warming up the voice and addressing any areas that need worked on. From there, Ill have a song or two for the student to work on, and warmups will be tailored to the problem areas.
