Achieving aural skills by singing, and getting sight-reading ability is one of the most important skills in learning to play piano easily. Encouragement is key to my teaching style. Praising a students accomplishments motivates them to higher goals. Each student has different needs. What is good for one is not good for another. I have to be flexible in my teaching. Some students love classical music others love new age. I am willing to try new music, and try to listen to the students.
