I believe in individualized learning. So each student will receive their own plan for their progression. Some materials I recommend for students are the rubank book for beginner. It is very important for students to grasp the fundamentals. For intermediate students, we would progress on a track and focus on what they had for goals. I'm a very passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. I have been raised up all around music. In my school years, I participated in band where I learned the technical aspects of music such as reading and writing notation. After graduation, performing in various bands across the United States has been one of the greater experiences of my life as a musician, and I've had the opportunity to tour both Houston, Texas with the group Members Only and The Carter McKay Band, as well as busking in Nashville and performing in various groups there, all the way back to Birmingham, AL where I have played with several bands and have started my own self titled brand. I believe that education is something that should be enjoyable, especially music. Music is something that inspires us and makes us happy. I encourage those ideas in lessons, and I focus on teaching students to play with musicality. For each individual student, I set reasonable goals for them at the end of each lesson.
