I am a fun and very versatile guitar instructor who loves taking a student to the next level with their guitar in which ever style they may be interested in. Most schools use the Hal Leonard Essential Elements and I tend to focus on this method as supplemental instruction but other methods are fine as well especially if the student is already working through a particular method book. For young students I encourage a mix of formal music instruction with music the student enjoys. Nothing unlocks a love of learning like discovering how your favorite music works! Adult students are welcome to tailor their lessons to their musical goals whether that's learning Bach or Breaking Benjamin! Read More

I have strong song writing and composing skills so I write songs for my students to play here and there. Read More

For the beginning string player I like to start with a Hal Leonard method book to communicate and help string players master the basics. Once the student has progressed I will begin some solo repertoire from varying genres. I find it is always helpful to allow students to play music that they enjoy - experiencing a range of both popular and classical pieces to broaden their horizons. I encourage my students to do a lot of listening as a part of their practice. Read More

I am passionate about communicating through music and training others to achieve their full potential as a musician. I have served in twelve different churches over the years as a Minister of Music, and am still serving in that capacity. This has involved directing vocal choirs and ensembles of all ages, directing handbell and handchime choirs, and directing seasonal musicals and pageants. One of my greatest joys is working with individual soloists in preparation for singing in worship services. Read More
