For students who are just beginning, I typically start with Alfreds Drum Method Book 1. Mostly for learning basic music notaion and theory. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I begin to introduce drum set music notation and theory from the Tommy Igoes Groove Essentials 1.0 book. For adult students we tend to work on whatever the the students interested in,and guide my lessons accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun ,no matter their skill level. Read More

I approach teaching separately and individually. Every students lesson is personalized. I can match any level of discipline, seriousness, and interest a student may have. I do not mind this. I realize this is a personal endeavor as well as a professional endeavor on both the students part and my part. I enjoy using my abilities to explain musical concepts.
