I am a guitarist/ multi-instrumentalist with 29 years' experience. In 1997 I graduated from Berklee College of Music as a guitar principal and Music Education Major (I hold a Dual-Major in Music Education, and Sound Production and Engineering from Berklee). I am an experienced teacher of electric, acoustic and bass guitar, as well as ukulele. I have taught solo private lessons, as well as group lessons for all of the above instruments. As a touring musician I have performed across the United States and Europe, and as a studio musician (I also owned a commercial recording facility in Boston, MA for four years) I have performed on numerous records in genres ranging from rock, pop, hip hop, soul and jazz.

My method is organic.  If the student wants to pursue Music Theory we can start with that but I like to develop the passion of music first.   It is about having fun!!  The passion and energy needs to be there first before we get into any theory.  Once we build your love for the guitar we can expand your repitoure of technques and knowledge.

As a lover of multiple genres of music, I aim to improve technique, versatility, and musicianship with my teaching. I recently graduated Cum Laude from the Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Music Business. During my time in school, I performed throughout the Boston area at venues such as the Middle East and the Berklee Performance Center. After graduating, I was able to tour through parts of New England and perform at venues ranging from small night clubs to large festivals, including the Mud Run Rock Gods Tribute Festival in Howland, Maine. Ranging from Rock, Blues, Jazz, Pop, Funk, Punk, Video Game music, and more, I always love to challenge myself to be the best musician I can be.

I am a guitarist of 11 years, mostly self-taught. I started learning with the RI Philharmonic music program, then learned on my own by playing with my church band and playing my favorite rock albums by ear. I studied Recording Arts at Full Sail University, which gave me a deeper understanding of the process behind music production, and gave me exposure to new kinds of music to expand my pallette of musical expression. If someone asked me what's my favorite type of music, I now simply show them my Spotify playlist as it's gotten to the point where I can't pinpoint a single favorite, and the amount of music I've heard is too much to describe simply. Having returned to my home state of Rhode Island, I continue to play with my church band and continue to heighten my skills as a guitarist, with the hopes of writing my own original material and continue to invest the gift of music in those around me.

My first experiences with music began in the car, listening to the hits of 60s and 70s as my parents drove me around. I quickly realized music was going to be an important part of my life and begged my parents to get me a saxophone. By the time I was 10, I was performing music regularly for large audiences and loving every second of it. Then I turned 14 and picked up a guitar; I'm still trying to figure out how to put it down. This passion naturally led me to attend Berklee College of Music, which I graduated from in 2015. During my years at Berklee, I took advantage of many opportunities to perform and gig around the Northeast with numerous award winning bands. I enjoy nothing more than sharing the secrets I have learned from years of studying guitar and performing around New England.
