My number one rule for teaching is patience and setting small goals each week. Every student should want to pick up the instrument days after the lesson. The usage of positive reinforcement in my lessons allows students to learn more effectively and efficiently. Setting up micro goals that build up to larger ones has been successful in my classroom.
