The first teaching concept I focus on is the capacity to produce great sounds with the least amount of effort. Therefore I spend some time in getting the student to play very relaxed to create a relationship with body and mind, I believe music is an extension of the body and so if the mind and body are relaxed then music will come out flawless. Jacob began his musical fruition at the age of 8 years old, after being inspired by listening to Rock N Roll and being surrounded by a family of musicians. He later went on to perform with cover bands in an array of musical academies across venues in New York and New Jersey; most notably The Cutting Room, McLoones Supper Club, The Stone Pony, House of Independence, and many more. I have been playing music for over 15 years and have earned two degrees in music (University of Colorado, Manhattan School of Music). Some of my teachers include the world class Orin O'Brien and Tim Cobb from the New York Philharmonic and the Metropolitan Orchestra. In my undergrad I was a finalist for the annual concerto competition and have I performed internationally in Canada as well as Japan.
