My teaching experience dates back to over 10 years ago. After taking music in school and learning instruments and vocal performance, I wanted to inspire others to have confidence in their talent and the development of their talent. I started teaching guitar to the children in my church and in the community, I became a mentor for youth and started teaching adults who wanted to learn how to sing and play the guitar. I also write poetry and songs. I have a professional band and I write all of our songs. I want to help the students develop their talents in a fun and exciting, as well as encouraging way. I'm looking forward to teaching and inspiring my students and bringing out their best creative talents. I have been teaching in person and online now for over 10 years in person and over 5 years online.

I like to make my lessons engaging and fun. For students who are beginning their guitar journey, I like to start with the basic fundamentals of guitar, such as teaching them the body of the guitar (head stock, tuning pegs, string names, frets, how to hold and use a pick, etc.). We then will go on to learning how to position their fingers on the guitar neck and frets to play notes, learn chords and eventually, once they are ready, we will start working on age appropriate songs for the students to learn. The same applies for my vocal students. We will start with the fundamentals of our vocal instrument, air flow, breath support, and the components of the body that make up the vocal passage so they can understand how singing actually works. We will do vocal warm ups and exercises to open the voice and prepare them for singing. When they are ready, we will work on songs and vocal delivery as well as other techniques such as vibrato, solo's, harmonies, etc.
