I began teaching in High School once my skill on guitar and bass had surpassed my band teacher; I was tasked with teaching the 3 bass students and 2 guitar students in the program and preparing them for the end-of-year performance. From there I began an odyssey spanning two decades working with students from 7 - 60+ and from beginners to advanced players. My teaching experience dates back to my early college years. I had the opportunity to teach several private lessons and group classes. In addition to my experience working with different projects covering genres from Latin and Caribbean music to Jazz and teaching several courses in Music Schools and Universities, I am a holder of M.M. in Jazz Studies from prestigious Steinhardt School of New York University. Teaching requires time and effort but it also needs to be fun, therefore my lessons have both components, while setting up short and long term goals we explore music in fun ways that allows for self expression and we stay focused by having a clear goal for every lesson. In 2015 I graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Arts degree in General/Choral Music Education with a Specification in Voice.
