I also recorded for a musical and for a movie soundtrack. However, after 2 years of tutoring, I was accepted into law school in New York, which was outside the geographic scope of the tutoring company I worked for. Around the same time as beginning my tenure as a tutor, I auditioned for my very first professional band (Vesper), and was selected, among 6 interested guitarists, to proceed as their newest member. Maya studied upright bass performance at Berklee College of Music, where she earned a Berklee Merit Scholarship and the Bass Department Outstanding Performer Award and Scholarship. She played with the Berklee Contemporary Symphony Orchestra, with a highlight performance of Lord of the Rings Symphony at Bostons Symphony Hall. She tours nationally with Boston-based bummer pop band Future Teens.
