I feel that this cookie cutter approach doesnt successfully work for everybody as it assumes everyone is the same. I have taught thousands of students over the decades and can say that I havent seen two students exactly alike the entire time. I feel they aren't learning from someone's book and they could do that with just the book, without me. If each of us learned from the same book we would all be playing the same music! They are here because they want to be shown. The last thing I want for my students is to feel burdened by bookwork while learning the guitar.
