This makes me feel very good to see them grow musically. I set reasonable goals for them to strive for and help them get to the next level. I have had multiple different instructors throughout my life, and some of them seem to have had their own agenda and what they wanted me to be learning. I try to focus on the students interests as much as possible. Lastly, I use rythym training a lot with all my students. If it's not played in time, It's not music yet. We will work together to get it where it needs to be! I use real drum loops and other media for this. This dramatically increases the students feel for the pulse of the music.
