With the Suzuki Method the students learn to play the instrument first, and to read music second, removing the obstacle of reading notation until the students learns some technique on the guitar. I have also taught students of varying ages using traditional teaching methods. I like to pace the lessons based on each individual student. That being said, for children and beginners, I will focused mainly on the basics such as: proper posture, proper guitar technique, basic chords, basic rhythms, warm-ups ... Once all of that is covered, my method will vary depending on the student's goals and the style where are in.
