...I returned to the East Coast to complete my formal education at New York University where I received my BA in music performance. I formed a self titled band and toured the mid-Atlantic region performing a mixture of blues, rock, rnb, soul, gospel and jazz. Hoping to reach a larger audience, I wrote, arranged, and produced my solo debut, What I Got To Say. I am as dedicated to teaching as I am to performance. I create an environment of support and encouragement allowing artists to feel nurtured. I have a holistic approach to singing; it encompasses the mind, body and soul. I welcome student participation and input during a lesson. Instead of holding every student to the same measure, I chart success on attainment of your goals. ...Each student has an individual connection with music, and therefore a teacher should be willing to adapt their methods in the best interest of each student. When working with a new student, I devote the first lesson to getting to know each other; the student's interest in music, their proficiency level (if they've studied in the past), their hobbies, Depending on that meeting we might choose to focus more on music theory, or ear training, or performance repertoire; whatever the student and I set as a goal for our work together.... Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
OkAre you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
