I am a fun and easy going instructor who loves working with students of all ages. I graduated from London College of Creative Media in 2018 with a degree in performance and production. I also have a certificate in guitar. Performing in Europe was one of my greatest experiences while living overseas. I also sang in the LCCM gospel choir and won the first place at the University Gospel Choir of the Year in 2015. Read More

Generally speaking, I use a learner-centered approach, encourage astute questioning, a cooperative stimulation of critical thinking, and I prefer an active versus passive teaching style. Regardless of the student's age, I want him/her to have fun as much as possible, so I strive to make the unavoidable repetitive exercises more enjoyable by facilitating the student's creative input. I teach sight-reading and classical guitar using the Sagrares Method, and advise (particularly guitarists) on health and wellness methods developed by Dorothy Taubman. Read More

I love teaching guitar to motivated students. I have been fortunate to play and teach guitar for a living my entire life, and it is still exciting to help students find their voice on guitar. After teaching guitar for the University of Tennessee for 10 years, I moved to Nashville where I was able to tour the world playing music for 12 years. Whether playing a festival for 50,000 people on the side of a volcano in Japan, overdubbing a guitar part for a national Toyota commercial, or helping someone tune their guitar for the very first time, it is still exciting. I have been teaching music for nearly 20 years. I am the after school music teacher for the Norwood School District. My primary goal is to make sure students are having fun and enjoying themselves during lessons. I have a laid-back disposition. During the first lesson Ill ask students what they would like to learn about. Then my goal is to facilitate how to reach that goal. Id like to have lessons be relaxed and students can work at their own pace. Read More

Thank you for your interest in my teaching! I am a guitarist from Eastern Kentucky who currently resides in Cincinnati. As an artist, I believe in working to broaden the cultural horizon of this instrument through the arrangement and performance of works from around the world. I take an approach to teaching that uses music literacy training to help students effectively pursue their individual musical interests. It’s wonderful to see students continually develop the ability to ask progressively more interesting questions. Read More

I began teaching for Pendragon's Music in 1990, and since had taught for 22 years at a couple of the local music stores. In 2010 I started to gradually open up days at my home studio where I had a much more spacious, clean, noise free environment to teach in with better equipment.  In 2012 I left the music stores all together and went full time at my home and at J5 Sound Studios in Bridgetown.
