I am a New York City based songwriter, artist, arranger, producer, and educator, most often occupying the space between R&B and Jazz. My music is influenced by artists ranging from Stevie Wonder to Erykah Badu to John Coltrane. I went to Boston in 2015 to study Musical Theatre at the Boston Conservatory. There, I began songwriting and discovered a new passion leading me to change course in my education and continue my studies at Berklee College of Music in 2017. Read More

I've been blessed with many different types of opportunities from playing weddings, to political events, fundraisers, and touring the country and internationally. I've also been fortunate enough to who have been involved in songwriting and composing for all styles of music, and many different instruments and musicians. Read More

Practice regularly: Consistent practice is key to improving as a drummer. I might encourage students to set aside a certain amount of time each day or week for practice, and to break down their practice sessions into smaller, more manageable chunks. 3. Use a variety of exercises: To keep things interesting and help students learn more effectively, I might incorporate a variety of exercises into my lessons. This might include rudiments, beats from different styles of music, and sight-reading exercises. 4. Read More

I will almost always start lessons with beginners who are children with the Alfred method books. These are a very straight forward 3 book set that takes kids from knowing almost nothing technical about music to being able to play and read quite complex arrangements. Once we get our feet planted in this area I will expand into using chord charts and other materials to supplement. Once that is begun we usually start to make up a list of songs that the student may be interested in learning so I can build up the vocabulary to achieve at least a simple arrangement of those songs. Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
