Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs.. Read More

Since then I have volunteered for my hometown's summer music enrichment program, and have continued to do one-on-one lessons. Outside of music I very often found myself in teaching scenarios. For several years I instructed WTF Taekwondo, holding a rank of 2nd Dan Black Belt. I also taught and assisted my mother in teaching Sunday school for several years. Throughout my years of teaching experience I've worked with all age ranges and levels of proficiency. Read More

Hello, One of my greatest passion is teaching and inspiring others to want to play music. I hold a Degree in Popular music studies from William Paterson University and a minor in music management. I have had the privelage to perform with a number of artists and musicians in the greater NJ/NY area. I have also played guitar on many professional recording sessions for Major Label associated artists. My main goal is to teach others and give the tools necessary to express themselves through the Guitar. Read More

I adapt my lesson plan according to the student's level, interests and hobbies away from music. All beginner students start with an Essential Elements series of books to help them understand the process of actually playing their instrument. Once this has been achieved or if the student is already past this level, I like to inquire about what the student wants to learn and improve on. With this information, I give them resources or step by step guidelines to help them with their goal. Read More

We will work together to help you achieve your goals and gain a well-rounded music education, regardless of age or musical background. Read More

I began teaching privately in high school- mainly teaching my younger fellow students. During college I taught at two private lesson studios in New Jersey. I expanded the instruments I offered there, and met students young and old, and over time, I learned how different people of different ages and backgrounds learned and understood music. I now currently teach both privately and at a private studio in Queens. My teaching method is highly evolved, tuning into the personality and capabilities of each student, reacting lesson by lesson to offer material and methods that will be most helpful to them. I am accomplished in sight-reading, ear training, improvisation, performing, transposing, designing, tuning, engineering, mixing, mastering, and trouble shooting in varied settings. I am a veteran. Most of my teaching experience is not music related, however I have given bass and piano lessons before. There are many similarities between music and anti-terrorism practices. Both require practice. Both require repetition. Both require vigilance and attention to detail. As such I feel I am qualified to assist students in establishing good practice habits. Read More
