I've taught private lessons, group lessons, workshops, and youth music camps since 1998. I tailor my lessons to each student, according to his/her own goals and musical tastes. I like to get to know my students and find out what/who they like musically, then use that knowledge to demonstrate the things we're working on so they can hear it in action. If students want to write their own songs, we apply what we've learned to their songs too. Read More

For beginning students who are children, I start with Hal Leonards Essential Elements (or the Hal Leonard Guitar Method for guitar students) to build a strong foundation in reading music, proper technique, tone production, and fundamental skills. Once students have a solid grasp of the basics, I introduce age-appropriate solo repertoire to develop confidence and prepare them for their first recital performance. For adult learners, I tailor each lesson to their personal goals and musical interestswhether they are brand-new beginners, returning to music, or exploring a specific style. Read More

I feel rewarded when I see my students develop a passion for music. I set goals with each student getting to know their style preferences, musical tastes and acknowledge their progress throughout the learning. My students will learn to reach their goals and become successful performance artists and musicians. With persistence and hard work they will be rewarded in many ways and will feel confident knowing the language of music and be able to perform for any audience. Read More

Hi! My name is Daniel and I have been teaching guitar for over 15 years. I started playing the guitar at a young age. I learned mainly by ear from the first year or two, and asked anyone I met who played to teach me anything they could. Once I knew the basic chords and could play a few songs, I began taking professional lessons. My teacher taught me how to develop my ear properly so I could learn what I wanted without any help. As a musician, it is very important to understand the perspective of all instruments and how they work together. The better that one understands this connection, the more profound their contribution will be when playing with others. As a teacher, my goal is to assist each student in finding their own creative voice and guide them through the process of learning to express themselves through music. In addition to learning the guitar, I encourage my students to listen carefully and take notice to all the accompanying instruments in the music that they enjoy listening to. Read More
