 I implement materials of my own design mixed with songs of the students choosong and tastes, and typically have them up and playing a song or two that they like in a couple of lessons.  All ages, styles, and expereince levels are welcome. For reading,  I like to use a combination of notation, tabs and chord diagrams.  And while I dont absolutely insist that the student learn to read notation, I do strongly encourage it. Read More

Through those songs, I can introduce many technical and musical concepts. It is very important that this is a positive musical experience. For other skill levels, I assess their skill level and proceed accordingly to help them achieve their musical goals, working with technique and musicality to create a great player. Read More
