For older students, I begin them in the Trvor Wye Method for Beginning Flute Students. I supplement both these methods with solos appropriate for their level and goals, such as UIL and other competitions. I began teaching flute lesson when I was a sophomore in high school in 2010 by helping middle school students, as well as other high school students, to prepare for band auditions. I taught throughout my time in college as well. I took a short break after graduating with my master's but have since returned to teaching in the Rockwall area. Planning an individual practice schedule is imperative for their success but at the same time make it enjoyable so the student will want to practice. I now reside in Keller, Texas and have opened my flute studio to online students and the Keller/Fort Worth area.
