I have been playing flute for 16 years. I love sharing my knowledge to those who want to become a better musician. I received my Associates of the Arts degree in 2017 and continuing to double major in Flute performance and Music Therapy. I have had the opportunity to participate in great orchestras such as Broward Symphony Orchestra and New World School of the Arts Orchestra. At each lesson, I try to touch on different components of musicality. Beginning with tone and technique, posture and proper warm up. Then we work on pieces of music and incorporating theory, and playing musically. It is important as a teacher to set realistic goals for my students, acknowledge their accomplishments and to find out what inspires them. I encourage students to have a notebook at each lesson so that they can keep track of their practice focus as they continue to increase their playing ability and knowledge. Read More
