I began studying music performance in university in 2006, under the tutelage of Dr. Sara Gill. Dr. Gill had just returned from an amazing study abroad with Trevor Wye and his studio, and was able to offer cutting edge techniques. After my first year of University Dr. Gill moved, and I was subsequently passed to the instruction of the amazing Dr. Naomi Seidman. I am constantly evaluating what is helpful to each student and using this information to guide my instruction for future lessons. It all started when I took my first drum lesson in the 4th grade. From then on, I wanted to play whenever I could. I played in all my school bands from middle school to high school. Graduated Southern University, home of the world famous "Human Jukebox" which I was a member of for 3 years, as well as playing for my church since I was 13. Along the way I have had the honor of meeting and learning from respected musicians such as Lawrence Jackson (former director of SU Bands), Herman Jackson (Brother of Randy Jackson), Jerry Lee Lane (Marching percussion pioneer) and countless others.
