I have been teaching for five years, beginning in Denver, Colorado. I began teaching Glee themed camps and dance classes through an organization in Denver, and then moved on to choreograph children's musicals (the largest of these had 80 children ages six to eighteen!). At my next studio I choreographed and music directed shows (Cinderella Junior and Aladdin Junior). At my busiest in Denver I had thirty-four private students. To make lessons more personal we will move at the pace of the student, however most of the time their band director will have weekly playing assignments, It will be my goal to make sure each students is fully prepared for the assignment and for the more ambitious students, to go beyond. Depending on the individual needs goals of each student, I will customize lesson plans on a week-to-week basis. If there are no immediate goals for my students, I prefer to focus on classical technique and tone exercises that I compile through a variety of method books for each woodwind instrument. This includes but is not limited to: Moyse, Kroepsch, Baermann, Ferling, Shaw, Filas, Lacour, and many others. He completed his Masters degree in flute performance at the New England Conservatory of Music in 2018. Dr. Susan Rotholz, the principal flutist for the NY Pops is his current instructor along with Dr. Marie Kenote. He received his B.M. in Flute Performance from Nyack College School of Music in 2015, where he studied under the direction of Dr. Marie Herseth Kenote. Dr. Kenote is an NEC alumni and a member of the New York Philharmonic, where she was a substitute flutist for 20 years under the baton of Leonard Bernstein. Read More
