As a solo artist, I have toured the United States extensively, and have performed at festivals in the Caribbean and Denmark. I am a fully-certified music educator of over 20 years: I have taught both middle school band & choir to at-risk youth for 3 years, as well as elementary music at a private Christian academy for an additional 3 years. With the saxophone as my principal instrument of 35 years now, I also play many other instruments that I teach, including: Piano, Violin, Drums, Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, and Trombone. I approach teaching with a fun atmosphere, laid back to be comfortable to ask questions, develop passion for music to allow progress and praise to build confidence so students want to try more difficult music to help build that motivation and eagerness to learn. I use the same material and books that have helped me improve as well as customizable methods for each student. These methods include: learning how to process information effectively, how to retain the information and also how to excecute that information at any moment. My goal as an educator is to develop a unique style and approach molded by each student in order to the gain the most success.
