I have not yet started my teaching career but I am super excited to start gaining experience with all of you! I have taken a flute pedagogy class at my undergraduate, Gettysburg College and a woodwind and brass method class during my graduate studies at The Longy School of Music. I have much more experience performing and participating in summer flute masterclasses. I graduated from Temple University in 1988, with a Master's of Music degree in the area of Percussion Performance, and Jazz emphasis. How much time goes in to each category will depend on the student. I have been teaching consistently for four years now. I have taught privately to children from the age of four all the way to adults. Because of this, I have had to adopt my style accordingly to the diversity of my students, as their goals and learning styles differ widely.
