Learning a new skill can be frustrating and because of that my goal is to acknowledge accomplishments, and to give students more creative freedom as their skills on the instrument grow. I’m a woodwind doubler based in New York City; graduated with a degree in saxophone performance from Kennesaw State University in 2011. I’m passionate about music and enjoy sharing all the skills required to enjoy playing an instrument with my students. I spent years touring the world on cruise ships, international acts, and pit orchestras. I have participated in summer festivals such as the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, and the Banff Festival Orchestra. In May of 2014 I graduated with my Master's degree in flute performance from the Yale School of Music. My musical passion is chamber music, and new music. This focus has led me to found a professional woodwind quintet, Sounding Board, and to pursue my second Master's degree in a specialized contemporary performance program at Manhattan School of Music.
