I am a passionate, experienced musician with a special place in my heart for helping beginners. I have two years of teaching fifth grade, middle school, and high schoolers with flute and saxophone. I want to primarily work with young or beginner flute players to help build them up into prominent players and watch them grow. This is supplemented with worksheets and personalized exercises specific to their needs. As the student advances, we will begin to introduce duets to begin to understand and play harmonized music. I have been a finalist in several competitions, including the Seattle Philharmonic's Don Bushell Concerto Competition, the University of Washington Concerto Competition, the Seattle Young Artist Music Festival Concerto Competition, and the Seattle Flute Society's Soloist Horsfall Competition. In addition, I was named the prizewinner of the 2015 Coeur d'Alene Young Artist Competition.
