I have performed as a soloist, chamber musician, as well as an orchestral flutist during the 14 years of my life as a musician. I started playing flute when I was 7 years old and I've dedicate my life to music since then. I graduated from the Hight Conservatory of Music in Oviedo (Spain) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Flute Performance, and from the International University of La Rioja (Spain) with a Master's Degree in Education. I've been working as a music teacher for the last 10 years, teaching flute, music theory and orchestra, to students all ages, at the same time that I've continued performing with different orchestras and bands, as the main flutist or soloist. The theme of the project covers the world of natural disasters like earthquakes, volcanoes, hurricanes and tornados. Igors band Innertextures represents Igor's passion for the music to journey to new and daring places. He is supported in this effort by alto saxophonist Greg Ward, bassist Chris Tordini and drummer Kenny Grohowski. Igor has released four CDs as a leader: Eleven (2018), Innertextures live (2012), Mineral Mind (2009), and Innertextures (2004). For beginning students I typically start with Hannon and my own finger exercises. I ask the the student to draw notes on a staff so they can get familiar with reading and composing music. All students from beginner to advanced, are given warm up exercises and recommended pieces to play . After 30 years of teaching piano, organ and flute ,I have written my own lesson books series. Comprehensive method individually structured for each student.  Books depending on level and age start with Standard of Excellence and are individually chosen to support the student. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance.
