My job is to assess the students abilities and lead them down the appropriate paths to achieving their musical goals. Some of my former students are now professional pianists. I took up the flute in 1985 in order to work with my husband, a classical guitarist, and we have been making beautiful music together. I do not put deadlines or timelines on any student's progress, and I also realize that each student's needs are unique to each and every person. The student listens and produces the best sound they can make after listening to me. My goal as a teacher is to help them become their own teacher and evaluate the things they can improve upon.
