When I attended Rhode Island School of Design, I performed  flute and piccolo in the Brown University Orchestra and also studied flute at Boston University. Throughout the years, I have taken Master classes with Orchestral Flutists such as Julius Baker of the New York Philharmonic and Jeannie Baxtresser in Tanglewood, Mass. Even though my Major was Art and  I made a living as an art teacher in the public school system, my love for flute and music was always present as I would often incorporate music and flute playing into my art lessons. I encourage my students to practice and set goals at each lesson. They would be able to work at their own pace. Playing duets with the teacher is also a fun activity, and listening to good players recordings will inspire them. I will learn their intentions of what their goals are short term and long term so we can work together to prepare for what is to come. We will study fundamentals, solo repitore, scales, basic theory and contemporary technique. I will also work with helping the student to choose an upgrade flute if they feel they are ready. Same year I started attending to Lyrical Singing Lessons with another very known composer and opera singer, Mario Rocha. I performed with both clinics in the capital city and many other cities around the country for years but I kept it persistent with Lyrical Singing. I received private lessons for guitar for around five to six years and then started giving them myself at the institution.
