I graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Musical Arts degree my and a minor in recreation. Rodolfo is music director of Vázquez & Ferguson (Silver & Spruce) and El Cálido Viento. He has been awarded three times by the Ohio Arts Council and eleven  times by the Greater Columbus Arts Council for CD recordings of Latin American, classical, original music and for chamber music recitals in Franklin County, OH USA. He has studied with the world renowned Irish flutist Sir James Galway who wrote of Rodolfo: “Your music is charming and beautifully played.”In August 2006 and then again in August 2008 he participated in the Sir James Galway International Flute Masterclass in Interlaken and Weggis, Switzerland performing with the Sir James Galway Flute Choir both  times. I have been teaching on and off for the last two years. I have taken classes in Instrumental Pedagogy designed to teach us the best skills to teach students of all ages. I teach in either the students' home or in my living room. I've found that the most important part of a student's musical education is their outside practice and, usually, students are only willing to practice if they are having fun and feeling motivated and encouraged. The greatest experience from high school was being accepted to Indiana University's Saxophone Academy, a week long camp in the summer for advanced saxophonist to work with the world renown classical saxophonist Otis Murphy. I have been very successful in college as well, maintaining a 3.8 GPA, participating in many ensembles and contests, and achieving principle positions in the top music groups the university has to offer. I plan to further my education after earning my Bachelor's, hoping to earn a master and doctorate at Indiana or Michigan University. Read More

Ibegan teaching private lessons from 2004 and tried to consistently teaching students in my home studio. I was a counselor and private lesson instructor at the OSU Flute Workshop from 2011 to 2013. Playing duets with student, learn very exciting extended techniques, and various repertoire are features I emphasize for students to help them enjoy and motivate to learn. For all ages and all instruments, you will be working on scales, chord progressions, transposition and reading of music for piano; scales, lip slurs, technical etudes, long tones, transposition and reading of music for trumpet; and scales, slurs, technical studies, transposition and reading of music for flute. For all instruments, there will be one key book that will cover everything you need to know. If you work with me on a longer term, getting the book would not be a bad idea so you can practice at home, although it is not required by me. Read More
