For students I will show other people around their age playing the drums and after that I will show them the fundamentals of making a beat and staying on beat. Once students have the fundamentals together then we would play songs that they like and find interesting in and we would play those songs by ear. No matter what level they are in. Also, there is a massive backlash against the pharmaceutical industry for over-prescribing drugs for things like ADHD. Instead, doctors are now recommending music lessons to burn off that excess energy a child may have. Also, a teacher has to be able to have the social skills to 'read' a student. Read More
