Evan has also done session work as a drummer-for-hire with independent rock bands, most recently on Sub:Om’s Back to the Source. When Evan's not drumming, he's composing. He's created music and mixed sound for independent film and new media, and recently won a Best Sound Design award for his work on indie feature The Good Hearts Club. Especially considering the difficulty a stringed instrument can bring; it's very easy to become discouraged when met with a difficult instrument, in a lousy-not-fun lesson, with a grumpy instructor. I've had the opportunity to teach Ensemble music in a High school for students between 12-16 years old. Also did master classes for adults looking into genres like Boleros, Vals and Classical Music (Nylon Guitar). I've had 50= students doing private lessons with me and couldn't be happier of the results that they made with me. I am originally from Denver, CO where my music journey began. At the age of 5, I began taking piano lessons. A few years later, I began to branch out into drums, inspired by my dad who is also a drummer.
