I primarily teach piano, drum set, and percussion lessons through both in-home and online formats since 2019. I highly encourage my students to listen to various artists so that they have a good example of what they are supposed to sound like. I also like to play in the lessons with my students so I can model things for them, and it gives them a concrete example of what to do, rather than just having an abstract idea of it. I typically use a book for the basis of reference, and then encourage the student to go beyond the notes on the page.
