I really enjoy helping drummers along the road to reaching their musical goals. I strive to get students motivated and inspired to overcome any challenges that learning the instrument might bring about. As someone who struggled early on in the learning process with playing drums, I fully understand that each student progresses at a different rate, and all lessons are tailored to the individual's learning process and the rate at which they are able to learn new material. I'm a passionate and motivated instructor that loves to share the passion for music. I was always taught having fun and motivation to learn more and that's the only way I teach. In March 2015 I graduated from Los Angeles College of Music in Drums Performance and in August 2015 I got my artist visa for the U.S. due to my experience as a performer and my current projects in Los Angeles. I am very flexible with the students I work with. Depending on how you learn best, I will adapt to your needs. I can teach through the use of books (such as the Suzuki Method, John Thompson, etc) but I am also an advocate for learning by ear, transcribing and chord charts. I am also a great transcriber and arranger. With that, I am able to adjust any song to any difficulty for the students I work with. Read More

My first emphasis is that you have to like what you're playing. I really try to focus on what music gets the student excited. For some of them, it comes quickly. Others it might take a while, and that is okay. Once I find the switch that engages the student's interest, that is my focus. I really emphasize getting students to read music and also understand the key components of music theory, so that they understand what it is they are playing. Read More

Once I get an idea for my student's level based on the trial lesson, I build a curriculum specifically for their needs. I have a personal library of music and exercises that I cater to needs of each individual. I do my best to always keep in mind the specific goals of my student whether they are studying to develop skills for school bands/orchestra, marching band, recitals, real world gigs and auditions, or just for fun! As an instructor I focus on my students weaknesses in order to produce as much progress as possible. I strive to find out what my students are really trying to get out of drums whether it’s just for fun, to be famous, or in order to start a band. I love to cater my curriculum to students favorite genres in order to keep them interested. As a drummer myself I understand that some stuff can get boring so I try to add in different aspects to make my lessons more entertaining. Read More

To witness students making progress and share their passion for music is quite rewarding. I love to see how teaching music can also affect students in their personal lives. Some teaching methods can be translated to everyday life challenges. From my experience, learning an instrument or music, in general, can help tremendously to deal with day-to-day struggles or even mental state. It can help to deal with depression or ease some pain related to difficulties in their personal lives. Read More
