There are so many methods to use. I started off in the church as a worship leader, piano player, and a drummer. I believe in learning to read music and playing by ear. During my collegiate years I also was involved in taking private lessons and playing for all available percussion-needed ensembles (concert band, jazz band, orchestra, etc.). Consistenly since leaving high school I have also played in both rock bands and wedding bands and I consider these to be extremely helpful in my teaching experience. Read More
