I'm a passionate and motivated individual who loves working with people and sharing my love of music and life. In 2011, I graduated from Alabama AM University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Telecommunications. Performing around the U.S. has been one of the greater experiences of my life as a musician. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. Music has and is still a huge part of my life. It's one of two things that I feel is worth pursuing no matter the cost. I started my musical journey at the age of 8 playing drums. I graduate from Bethune-Cookman University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education and in 2010 with a Master of Music degree in Music Performance from Georgia State University. The knowledge and experience I've gained throughout my educational experience has afforded me to perform on various projects including a a Cadillac commercial for the Super Bowl in 2005 and an appearance on the Ellen Degeneres Show.
