For beginning students I try to go slow and make sure that they get the fundamentals and essentials down. My beliefs are that learning each stage well will help expedite the process of learning and playing later in life. At some point shortly after the fundamentals we will begin on solo literature and possibly duet literature. its a process of learning for me as well. i sit down with every student and create a custom lesson plan after the first lesson. everyone is different and i can cater to everyones needs! every musician learns in a different way. for children i tend to use more book oriented lesson and try to keep it very structered to cater to their eveyr growing minds.
