I am very passionate about music. At a young age I started playing the drums and picked up guitar, bass and some keyboard along the way. I attended Full Sail University for several years to studio Music Production, Audio engineering and Recording engineering. After that I attended the Recording Connection to study Audio Engineering and intern at a local recording studio.
I like to bring diverse and new challenging ways to teach people how to play music. I have been playing my instruments for over 10 years and have studies that total 6 years in music theory, education, and recording principles.I have found that while classical training is important it needs to be tied in with some of today's more modern styles of music.
For young beginers I like to start out with basics. Knowing the essential components and upkeep on your instrument are just as important as knowing how to play it. Then we will progress on to simple beats for drums or beginner chords for guitars. Adults need different teaching styles, we would begin with the reasoning behind Your learning and drive the lessons around what works best for you and your goals.
My teaching styles are not ones you'd find in a college classroom. I like to bring new ideas into play and have fun while teaching lessons. Its very important to have fun whenever practicing your instrument. I encourage and give constructive criticism as needed.
