Subjects taught include expert level map, compass and gps courses, basic outdoor and nature courses as well as outdoor safety sections. I continue to push the student to get better no matter their pace, and in a constant reminder, that slow and steady will win the race as opposed to sloppily breezing through a subject. We want to avoid a student taking three steps back due to lack of rudimental and physicality refinement. Once I know they have a grasp of the fundamentals, Ill usually see what their interests are or what they are working on personally and help them improve and build upon those things. This could be repertoire for school or auditions or simply a song they have been trying to learn for a while.
