As a drummer that has played in all kinds of styles and venues, I can teach any skill level from the first time picking up sticks to making good drummers great and great drummers legendary. For beginning students I start all the way at the beginning with the basics of percussion, from the way to hold the sticks and mallets, to how to read music. After the student grasps the fundamentals I introduce solo pieces to build a repertoire so that they may grow their musical knowledge and become a better musician. As drum instructor, I taught beats, fills, song structure, technique, and kit-setup, to a group between the ages of 7 and 14 in the summer of 2016 with the "Girls Rock Camp Houston", a non-profit organization. I volunteered to an additional guidance position as a "Band Coach" in 2016 to a group of young teen students.
